- The initial source of this dataset is the LiDAR data captured in June 2011 by Pictometry, Inc. for the City and County of San Francisco. The LIDAR and the oblique imagery captured in May 2011 by Pictometry were combined to create a 3D building model of the City in various formats, including the .flt format. The .flt format was converted to a 2D polygon feature class representing building footprints in San Francisco, using the ArcGIS 3D Analyst MultiPatch Footprint conversion tool.
