- The 'Solano County City Spheres of Influence' layer is an updated version of a layer (city_spheres_of_influence.shp) originally created and maintained by Resource Management. LAFCO is responsible to approving sphere of influence requests by incorporated areas within the county. The changes to this layer include the city limits boundary changes that were approved by LAFCO to date.
- Purpose
- This layer illustrates incorporated areas associated spheres of influence that are outside the actual city limits, as designated by LAFCO.
- Supplemental Information
- The CITYSOI layer was recreated by using the previous version of CITYSOI as a template and then importing PARCELS geometry to create the border. This ensured, that where appropriate, the CITYSOI and the PARCELS layer are coincident to the original default fuzzy tolerances. Mike Bobbitt has made some adjustments to the borders in accordance with LAFCO. 2008.05.28 Mike Bobbitt made updates to the City of Benicia City Limits and Sphere of Influence boundaries in the Carquinez Straigths area based on a map submitted by the City of Bencia to LAFCo.
